Royal family live: Camilla Duchess of Cornwall will not forgive Meghan Markle | Royal | New

Harry has signed an agreement with publisher Random House to write a book, which is expected to be published to coincide with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. According to the Sun on Sunday, palace aides are bracing for a possible legal retaliation, should they face further criticism from Harry and Meghan.

Speaking to royal talkRADIO expert Charlie Rae said the family “were a little fed up with the continual barrage of attacks and abuse” from the Sussexes.

He added: “I think the Queen is much more concerned, and her royal assistants are much more concerned with this memoir which will be released next year to coincide with her Platinum Jubilee, which is being written by Harry.

“There is some concern that there could be an invasion of privacy.

“It would be quite ironic if Harry and Meghan were taken to court or even received a legal letter to say ‘look what you say’ given their privacy statements.”

Separately, a royal insider told the Sunday Telegraph that the Duchess of Cornwall “will never forgive” Meghan Markle, for her treatment of Prince Charles.

It would be a quick turnaround in relations between the two women, with Camilla having previously been a ‘pillar of support’ for the Sussexes.

Speaking to the Sunday Telegraph, a royal insider said: “I don’t think the Duchess will ever forgive Meghan for what she did to the Prince of Wales.”

The extraordinary claim comes despite the Queen’s release of a statement earlier this year saying Meghan and Harry will always remain highly regarded members of the royal family.

Harry and Meghan resigned as royals in March 2020 and then moved to California.

The source said: ‘I think Camilla was probably as surprised as anyone else when the documentary came out and may not have realized how much Harry and Meghan were in pain.

“She wants everyone to get along and be happy. Her mantra is to keep going and keep smiling.

“She doesn’t want to see anyone in trouble and she loves Meghan and she could also be a very good ally.”

Buckingham Palace and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been contacted for comment.
