PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – June 30, 2021): Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched its awareness campaign to mobilize communities for COVID vaccination.
As part of the campaign, the PRCS began awareness sessions, establishing COVID-19 vaccination points in different districts of the province in addition to initiating the distribution of 5,300 bottles of hand sanitizer for students and officials in the schools of Peshawar and Swat.
In this regard, Pakistan Red Crescent Society President Khyber Pakthunkhwa Lt. Gen. Rtd Muhammad Hamid Khan stated that the Pakistani government is fully engaged throughout the country in the COVID19 vaccination campaign, while that the Pakistan Red Crescent Society play its auxiliary role in launching this campaign.
The public is urged to get vaccinated against the coronavirus so that the pandemic can be brought under control as soon as possible.
On the other hand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Ali Hassan, secretary of the Pakistan Red Crescent, told media representatives that the Pakistan Red Crescent branch is currently regularly supporting the district administration in the run-up to the campaign. sensitization.
Our volunteers are working on awareness sessions in mosques, bus stations and other public places, he added.
Palestinian Red Crescent teams are also transporting people to vaccination centers, while the same process will soon be launched in other districts, including Peshawar.
He added that the Pakistan Red Crescent Society is currently distributing bottles of disinfectant to schools in Peshawar and swat and other health facilities, the total number of bottles of disinfectant is 5,300 while each bottle contains 250 ml of disinfectant.

Meanwhile, soon, 64 public latrines, disinfection booths and hand washing stations will be set up in public places and primary health centers in Peshawar and Swat.
